The need for USCO services is obvious, as the river mode of transport provides:
- Practically no restrictions on the size of cargo and transport capacity. Even if port parameters (e.g. depth) do not allow a large-capacity vessel to approach the shore, modern technologies for transshipment of goods in the open sea or on the roadstead are used.
- Economic benefit due to low cost;
- High carrying capacity — very large quantities of goods or bulk commodities can be carried at the same time.
large quantities of goods or bulk cargo (compared to rail and road transport);
- Low probability of cargo loss or damage during transportation.
